The DDW-800/240 HDD rig adopts a crawler self-propelled chassis. Its power system uses three Dongfeng Cummins 563 kW high-power engines plus one 177 kW auxiliary unit, delivering strong power output with high reliability. The main hydraulic system features closed-loop electro-hydraulic proportional control for high efficiency and energy saving, effectively protecting the rotary and pull-back motors under complex formations and high-load conditions, and extending their service life.
The rotation system is driven by low-speed, high-torque Poclain hydraulic motors with direct-drive design — eliminating gearboxes and simplifying the cooling configuration, which makes the system more reliable and efficient. The auxiliary circuit uses a load-sensing proportional control architecture.
The rig is built on a modular design: major components can be split for transport and reassembled on site, solving overweight and oversized transport constraints. The machine control system uses PLC with a powerful human-machine interface. Main hydraulic and electrical components are sourced from internationally renowned brands for stable performance and low failure rate.
